An auction for MC - A visit from the Patterson's and the Brown's

Good Sunday everyone - No you did not miss Saturday's post - I'm doing a weekend post.

My son Brandon's friend Bill Sanger has donated his time and talent to custom paint a bike See auction description at the link below for details. Auction ends October 1st. The proceeds go to Mike Colligan. Thank you BIll for offering to do such a generous act for MC. Pass this along to any motorcycle folks that might be interested!

This is what Bill Sanger has to say:

Posting this in a few groups. I am auctioning off a paint job for a fellow riders family member Brandon Shockley All the proceeds from the paint job will go directly to Mikey. The current bid is at 450 and if you would like to bid feel free to either bid here or message me. I do have a couple stipulations on the paint job. No more than two colors and no mural work. Thank you all and stay safe! This is a Ducati I sprayed not too long ago.

This is an example of what Bill is willing to do.  Friend Bill Sanger on FB if you want to see his library of paint jobs and you can contact him there as well.

This is a wonderful jester on Bill's part.  This is a fellow rider that has never met Mike (or my son) but heard about Mike's situation and wanted to reach out in a way that he could.  He has done this before for a down rider and it was a great success.  Please pass this link along to anyone you know who is in the Portland area that might be interested in this custom paint job.  Thanks Bill!

My Brother Rick Brown and his Lovely wife Jackie came by:
This photo was taken early in the summer when Mike and I met up with Rick and Jackie in Oceanside Oregon.   Rick is an electrician and was working in Tillamook at the time. We had a lovely bike ride to the coast that day & enjoyed breakfast at Roseanne's Cafe'  Highly recommend it!  We were with other rider friends Chris & Maria - we had an incredible day.

Rick and Jackie donate blood and platelets to the Red Cross on a very consistent basis for years and years.  No matter where they are working and living, they manage to get back for their donation every 2-4 weeks.  To date Rick has donated more than 78 gallons of blood platelets. That's commendable and I want to personally thank these two for this as Mike has needed more than 25 units of blood and 2 units of platelets.  Bit Hugs to them!

The Larry and Lynnie Show
I can say that because it's always a "show" when they arrive.

SURPRISE for MC!
He knew he had visitors coming but he didn't know who.  This is his first time UP and out of his room since his surgery 16 days prior.  I think it tuckered him out, but it was also good to get some "STINK" off as his family would say.

The Patterson's, who live in Bend, OR (3 hours south east of Portland) were actually in the valley down in Eugene (2 hours south of Portland) visiting with their son.  They took the drive up to Portland in the nasty rainy, windy storm that was a brewing.  What a nice reunion to see some best friends.  He needed that.

Larry, Mike and Lynnie!  Nice photo kids!

I just love how the "foot" manages to sneak into so many photos.  Hey notice how nice MC's toes are looking.  The swelling is down, and today he received a killer "mini-pedi".  I trimmed and pampered as much as I could.  He loved it and so did his piggers.  Mike's right foot gets the "treatment" all the time.

It's nice to see MC sitting up and smiling.  Please come by today - remember tomorrow is surgery day again so not a good day to stop in.

I will be doing another post in a few minutes regarding his Doctor visits on Saturday the 28th.

Stay dry Willamette Valley residents - it's another wet and windy one out there.

SB in Tigard, MC @ Hotel Emanuel.  Oh wait, you can check out but you can never leave.
:-)
